I saw a deep blue one of these in mint condition driving. I have seen it once before, a middle aged woman takes very good care of it. She has the alloy rims with the square Tron looking design, might mean it’s a GLS, looks like best trim level. Not sure how many of these were sold in the USA, this pic is from Google and in the UK. 88-89? Maybe.

Oooh, cool. I don’t know if i’ve ever seen the coupe (liftback) model out in the wild before. I still see the wagons and sedans sometimes. We actually had a ‘88 gl (dl?) wagon when I was a kid. Fond memories of that car.

Yeah they are not very common, there is another liftback GX or something, it seems more robust. But this is the only one of these I’ve seen around here. Fortunately this lady seems to really like it and it is in fantastic shape.

Have you seen the earlier generation leone hatchbacks? I’d love a turbo version of one of those little guys.

They are exceptionally rare. I’ve only seen one of these coupes before; a black RX the last time I was in Washington state. I’ve seen the wagon the most, but even those are getting quite rare in PA these days.
Those are neat wheels. The only time I’ve seen them was on an XT coupe.
